Welcome

Curtiss Mansion Inc. (CMI) is seeking funding to restore and preserve the historic Glenn H. Curtiss Mansion and Gardens located at 500 Deer Run. The structure is a two-story deltoid-shaped and multi-massed example of the Pueblo-Mission Revival architectural style utilized by the Curtiss-Bright Company in the 1920's. Originally called "Dar-err-aha" by Mr. Curtiss, meaning "House of Happiness," it was designed and built by him as his personal residence, allowing himself to be part of the planned residential community he developed, originally called Country Club Estates and later named Miami Springs.

One Giant Step Closer

This morning (Tuesday, June 24th, 2008) the construction documents for the rehabilitation of the historic Curtiss Mansion were delivered to the City of Miami Springs Building and Zoning Department to initiate the permitting process. This has been a much-anticipated step in bringing this project to completion.
